Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)

The LCAP is a tool for local educational agencies to set goals, plan actions, and leverage resources to meet those goals to improve student outcomes. The LCAP is a three-year plan that describes the goals, actions, services, and expenditures to support positive student outcomes that address state and local priorities. The LCAP provides an opportunity for LEAs (county office of education [COE], school districts and charter schools) to share their stories of how, what, and why programs and services are selected to meet their local needs.

For more information on the SUHSD LCAP, please visit https://www.sweetwaterschools.org/lcap/

LCAP Survey

Students, Staff, Parents, and Community Members, we need your help in inform SUHSD Local Control Accountability Plan in support student achievement, wellbeing, parent and community engagement and our systems of support.

In 2023-2024, Sweetwater Union High School District received approximately $110 million to support our students to achieve academically, be supported emotionally, and ensure schools maintain a healthy environment for learning. The way these funds are used must include the input of all community partners, specially YOU!

Please review how the district has used these funds under the 4 Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) Goals below. After each Goal, please write or list some suggestions as to how we can use these funds next year as we develop our 24/25 LCAP.  We want to ensure we capture your thoughts and suggestions based on the needs you see at your school and community. To see the plan, visit SUHSD Local Control Accountability Plan  and take a few minutes to complete the  LCAP Survey

District Parent Advisory Committees

SUHSD serves over 9300 English Learners. Our District-level English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC)  parent group meets monthly in the district parent center or virtually to advise the local governing board on programs and services for English Learners. The DELAC assists in developing and providing input in establishing district programs and goals for English Learners. Each school with an English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) elects representatives to serve on the DELAC.  The DELAC provides regular updates to the board regarding the needs of English Learners.
